Agreement to terms
By creating a Flapslog account or using the Flapslog app or website, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Flapslog.
What Flapslog is
Flapslog is a personal flight-logging and logbook-backup tool for pilots. It is a record-keeping aid, not a substitute for your official FAA logbook or for professional aviation, legal, or regulatory advice. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the flight data you enter and for meeting all applicable FAA recordkeeping requirements.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information, including a valid FAA certificate number where required.
Free and paid plans
Flapslog offers a Free plan with a 5-flight limit and paid Pilot, CFI, and Lifetime plans with additional features. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and are billed through Apple's In-App Purchase system (in the app) or Stripe (on the website), depending on where you subscribe. Manage or cancel an Apple subscription through your Apple ID settings; manage or cancel a Stripe subscription from the Billing section of your account.
Cancellation and data access
If you cancel a paid plan, you keep read-only access to export your data for 60 days, after which your account moves to the Free plan's limits. Cancelling does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.
CFI–student tracking and endorsements
If you use Flapslog's CFI student-tracking or endorsement features, you're responsible for the accuracy of any endorsement text, certificate numbers, and contact information you submit. Electronic endorsement signatures are provided as a convenience and do not replace your independent obligation to comply with 14 CFR Part 61 and other applicable regulations.
Acceptable use
Don't use Flapslog to submit false FAA certificate information, impersonate another pilot or CFI, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Flapslog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any loss of flight data, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Always keep your own independent backups of critical records.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
